2004 Olympics , and was a part of the Australian team that won the silver medal in 4 x 400 metres relay. In the 2005 World Championships inHelsinki , he competed in 400 metres where he finished last in the final with 45.46.Steffensen won the gold medal in the 400 m at the
2006 Commonwealth Games inMelbourne , with a time of 44.73, setting a new personal best.
